As a longtime Berliner by choice, Nick Höppner contributes at many levels to the present house and techno underground. Be it through his residencies at Berghain and Panorama Bar, his solo releases on Ostgut Ton, his extensive DJ tours, or through his work as a label manager of Ostgut Ton; Nick is dedicated to the electronic music world. 

As a DJ and producer, Höppner shares history, emotions, stories and situations through his music. In his five solo releases for Ostgut Ton, he avoids only one direction. Instead, we find rich, uplifting house, deeply melodic dub techno, spooky, percussive work on deep house and lots of full color, musical statements. Looking at Höppner's typically long DJ sets, expect a similarly wide-ranging discoveries. Whether it is a sturdy, party-compatible house set, a dramatic techno adventure for larger floors, or about everything in between.

Höppner is back at Good Room at the mnmlktchn party on June 29 where he's celebrating the release on his new album, Work (released on June 9). Work is a very personal, soulful and deep record that breaks through the usual club/dancefloor narrative by documenting Nick’s interest for hybrid sounds and combining elements from varying musical genres. He'll be joined by locals Dominguez and Ludi Bin.
